Centennial Garden

The Centennial Garden, started in 1991, contains a network of paths bordering four plant communities. The tall grass prairie contains mixtures of grasses and forbs reminiscent of the endless "sea of grass" of days gone by. Other communities also represent the prairie woodland of eastern South Dakota, the short grass prairie of the Badlands, and the montane community of the Black Hills.
