Master Gardener Typical Training Schedule 

Class time is generally 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM with breaks in the morning and afternoon and an hour break for lunch. Please try to be on time for all classes.  (The order below may vary somewhat.) 

Week 1:   Intro., Basic Botany  /  Plant Diseases

Week 2:   Soils / Insects

Week 3:   Woody plant ID & establishment

Week 4:   Turfgrasses 

Week 5:   IWeeds / Pesticides

Week 6:   Woody Plant Maintenance

Week 7:   Vegetables & Fruit

Week 8:   Herbaceous plants; Plant Propagation

Week 9:   Plant Diagnosis / Working as a Master Gardener
